Volunteers Needed for Playoff Games and Cavs Marching Band Appearance
Dear Instrumental Music Department (IMD) Families,
Please sign up to assist with raffle ticket sales at the Oct. 27 and Nov. 3 playoff games. Proceeds from raffle sales benefit the entire IMD, so the more help we have, the more we can sales we can make to support our instrumental music students in all ensemble! Volunteers receive free admission to the game.
Also, on November 30, the marching band will perform at a Cavs game! We could use some chaperones.

Chaperones will need to have background checks for this event. If you have not already done so, first fill out a volunteer form and then return it to either Mr. Heim or Dr. Marzuola. You will then be contacted by the Board of Education to complete the background check. Background checks cost $26 and BOPO will reimburse you. Volunteers Needed for Football Games
Dear Instrumental Music Department Families,
Welcome back to returning families and welcome to new IMD families! We hope you have had a wonderful summer and are ready for another great year.
Home football games start this coming Saturday afternoon (Go Tigers!) and we need some assistance. At every home game, the Band and Orchestra Parent Organization (BOPO) sells raffle tickets and merchandise to support our student musicians. Proceeds help us provide uniforms, lessons, tour scholarships, and much more. We also help distribute snacks to the band at half-time break.
If you are able to volunteer, please sign up here. All volunteers receive free admission to the game.
Money raised at the games will support all students in the music programs, so even if you don’t have a student in the band, consider volunteering for one evening. IMD students who are not in the marching band are also encouraged to volunteer – ask your kids if they can help!
Sincerely,
Eve McPherson and Mike Lyford

Please consider volunteering for this important work.

Please contact Eve McPherson and Mike Lyford at president@heightsbopo.org if you are interested in coordinating for either position.

Subject: BOPO Election Day Bake Sale
BOPO is having a Bake Sale tomorrow on Election Day, Nov. 8, and we need your help!
Please use the sign up genius linked below to sign up to volunteer for a shift, commit to bringing a baked good, or both! This is also a good chance for students to do some volunteering, so please ask your IMD kids to sign up (we will always have an adult there helping, as well).

If you are bringing a baked good - please tell us what you're bringing in the comments section. This year we are in the late morning/afternoon slot, 11:30 AM to 7:30pm. So if you have a savory baked good recipe, bring it on, we may get some interest from the after work crowd.

Subject: Playoff Volunteers Needed Nov. 4
Heights Tigers have advanced again!!
So, BOPO will be able to sell raffle tickets one more time and earn more money to support Heights High Instrumentalists! We will also provide snacks again for our amazing band players.
We know it is a busy time for everyone right now, especially with the fall musical, but if you plan to attend the game, please consider being a BOPO volunteer. For this playoff game, we are asking volunteers to both sell raffle tickets and to assist with snacks as needed – the band will be a little smaller because of the school musical.
Volunteers are asked to help out from 6:30 to 8 pm and will receive free admission to the game.
Thank you,
Eve McPherson and Mike Lyford

Subject: Raffle Ticket Sellers Needed Friday Night
Dear BOPO Families,
If you can volunteer for an hour and a half this Friday night at the playoff game (6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.), we are still in need of raffle ticket sellers. Mike Lyford will run the raffle this week and could use some assistance selling tickets in the stands. Jeff Donnelly, the raffle coordinator, and I will be unable to attend the game. So, if you can spare the time, it would be very helpful since we don’t have our usual backup sellers available (me and Mike).
You can sign up to assist using this link.

Subject: Volunteers Needed for Concert Uniform Fittings
Good morning IMD Families,
Volunteer opportunity!
We need to get all of the IMD members kitted up for the upcoming Fall Concert. In the weeks leading up to the concert, we need helpers to measure students, find pants that match, and have students try them on for length. This can be a simple 1-hour commitment, or if you have time to do more that's great. We also hope for volunteers to hem the pants, that can be done on your own schedule.
Please contact Kate MacLeod at (216) 835-8011 if you have any questions or want to go over steps before you come in. It is best to text before calling as she does not usually answer unknown numbers.
Thanks for all your help!

Subject: Urgent Need for BOPO Volunteers This Friday
Tomorrow night is the homecoming game, and we are still in urgent need of volunteers to assist with raffle ticket sales.
Proceeds from raffle ticket sales are an important source of support for all IMD student activities. They subsidize orchestra and band uniforms, offset the costs of tours, provide rehearsal dinners and much more. The more people we have in the stands selling tickets, the better we can do for our students.
We need just a few more people to help. The homecoming game should have good attendance and alumni. It will be a good night for us to raise funds, so please consider volunteering.
All volunteers receive free admission to the game. Sales finish at half-time, so the time commitment is about an hour and a half.
Please sign up here.
Thanks!
Eve McPherson and Mike Lyford, BOPO Co-presidents
